Computer Science PhD Student
I am a PhD student in Computer Science at UCSD , where I work with professors Julian McAuley and Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick on research in machine learning and natural language processing. Earlier, I worked with Professor Charles Elkan on machine learning applications to economic data, but took a leave from my PhD to work in industry. During this period, I worked as head data scientist at Fliptop—a startup that built data science solutions for sales and marketing teams—until Fliptop was acquired by LinkedIn.
I earned an MS from Stanford University and a BS from UCSD. I am originally from the wine country in Northern California, and my first job in high school was working in a wine lab.
