The Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon, Florida was established in May 1960 . Since then, Kiwanians continue to serve the Greater Brandon community, especially its children, through numerous community programs. Our members and volunteers are passionate about making an impact in the lives of our community’s children—our future.
Childhood hunger is a major crisis in America and right here in Hillsborough County where one in three children goes to bed hungry each night. Many are able to take advantage of free breakfast and lunch at their school, but what about the weekend? Since 2011, “Project Smile” has been providing a weekend backpack of food to children who are at risk for this problem.
