The Annual Rural Church meeting of Bond County Historical Society and Bond County Genealogical Society will be Thursday August 22nd at the Hurricane Creek Church of the Brethren, southeast of Greenville (1848 Pleasant Mound Ave, Smithboro, IL 62284). It will be a potluck dinner (6 pm) and church members will provide the meat entrée and the drinks. The program will follow at 7pm highlighting the history of the church and community. We had an informative meeting April 25, 2022 with guest speakers Ellen and Greg Thorson, volunteer ambassadors from FamilySearch.org!
