In 2010 I started drawing again, after many years of complete disconnect from it, learning everything from scratch, and I decided to "employ" my “artistic” point of view by freelancing illustrations and caricatures. Currently i use only open-source software, as follows:
is a raster graphics editor based on the KDE Platform that i use as default on my Linux box. It works well on MacOSX too and has a very friendly interface for digital art, is very responsive and the eight brush engines make configurations of them limitless.
is ideal for advanced photo retouching techniques, a great alternative for a free/opensource application. I use it mostly for creating backgrounds and preparing my templates.
