ANYWAY, I went to a Women Who Code workshop in NYC this past weekend. It was a six hour workshop on HTML and CSS. By the end of the class, you have a “finished” website. 

I’m a firm believer in meetups. I found this meetup through Meetup.com and it’s great for many purposes. Mostly, I think one of the hardest things about learning to code is the lack of group solidarity and mentors to ask questions. When you’re coding as a group, it’s actually a social experience and you can ask for help from your peers. One of the best ways of learning is figuring out how to do something together.
