The history of Hackettstown began way back in 1853 when William Johnson (1817 – 1891) became a prime contributor to the incorporation of the town. William and his brother George (1815 – 1889) were successful merchants in the town beginning in 1839 when they began operating the W.L. & G.W Johnson dry good store. My Husband are from Long Island, NY and we were in the area and stopped in for lunch and a drink. This place was outstanding. Everyone in their was nice and welcoming and the food was delicious. Pete, the owner was wonderful. The area is beautiful so we will definitely stop by in the future . Check this place out if you’re in the area!
