Dalyan, situated on the border of the Dalyan river, is only 40 km's from Dalaman airport, hosting a wide choice of international flights. The river meanders through the village and offers breathtaking views at every turn. Dominating those views are the world famous Lycean rock tombs embedded in the rock face across the river. At the same side, a little downstream, lies the once important port of Kaunos, now an archaeological site well worth visiting.
