Florence loved the idea, started recommending books immediately, and BTB was born.
It has grown into a vibrant online community, still led by original members, Kate and Leah, along with Florence, Maria and Terri-Jane. The club regularly features guest recommendations from artists, writers, musicians and directors such as Greta Gerwig, Nick Cave, Fiona Apple, Adwoa Aboah, Jeremy O. Harris, Grayson Perry and Sally Rooney.
Our book discussions take place on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, where we feature readings and Q&As with authors including Yrsa Daley Ward, Emma Glass, Olivia Laing, C Pam Zhang and Lola Olufemi.
