The Hardy Plant Society exists to stimulate interest in growing hardy herbaceous plants.

This international Society, formed in 1957 by a group of eminent gardeners and nurseymen, has an ever growing membership in both the UK and overseas. It provides members with information about familiar and less well known perennials, how to grow them and where they may be obtained. The Society also works towards ensuring that all garden worthy perennial plants remain in cultivation and have the widest possible distribution.

The Berkshire Group  Follow us on Twitter and Facebook The Berkshire Group is one of 40 local groups of the HPS across the UK. It offers a wide range of gardening activities including entertaining and informative lectures from local and national gardening speakers. Plants, seeds, raffle tickets and refreshments are on sale at every meeting. There are summer group visits to interesting gardens and nurseries. The picture is of the "Loddon Lily", (Leucojum aestivum), the emblem of the Berkshire Group.
