Description: Keynote and motivational speaker Ben Saunders has given three main-stage TED talks and holds the world record for the longest ever polar journey on foot, set on his 2013-14 Scott Expedition.
My focus now is on climate technology investment through my own fund, Kintanna – named after a mountain in Antarctica – and my work as a Sequoia Scout. I’ve seen the impact we humans are having on the polar regions, and I’m determined to leave things a little better than I found them (although I never started out imagining a pivot into asset management).
I also consult on Antarctic travel, logistics and aviation. I support a number of brilliant charities. I invest in and advise several early-stage businesses. And I’m an entrepreneur, writer, cyclist, runner, weightlifter, dog-lover, husband and father.
I’m motivated by the exploration and fulfilment of my own potential, and by the opportunities I have to inspire and encourage others to make the most of their time on this planet.
