Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (Durgapur Airport),(IATA: RDP, ICAO: VEDG), a project under Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited (BAPL), is a domestic airport located at Andal, Paschim Bardhaman in West Bengal of India. The airport is roughly 25 km from Asansol's City Bus Terminus and 15 km from Durgapur's City Centre in West Bengal, India.It is part of the country's first private sector Aerotropolis, being developed by Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited (BAPL).
Bengal Aerotropolis Project is the manifestation of BAPL’s dream of building the first privately owned and managed Greenfield Airport City in India. An Airport, an Industrial zone, a Logistics Hub and a supporting Township – all, just a 15 minute drive from Durgapur, situated on the Golden Quadrilateral of India, along National Highway 2; proximate to Andal Railway Junction, under Ludhiana-Dankuni Freight Corridor.
