BCC has been involved in more than 40 offshore wind farm projects. Core competencies: inpark grid layout & connection to the transmission grid. Several restrictions and aspects are taken into account by BCC, e.g. the optimized structure of WEA-chains, optimized cable design adapted to the chosen grid structure, etc.
Having finished over 110 projects, BCC and in particular Prof. Brakelmann have developped plenty of innovations. Construction features of land and sea cables, a monitoring system with intelligent forecasting, special magnetic shielding of cables etc. have already been realized in practice.
