Barry Klarberg is an accomplished businessman and philanthropist. A double alumnus of Pace University’s ‘81 and ‘85 classes, Klarberg continued his connection to the Pace community as an Adjunct Professor of Taxation from 1985-1989. Other notable Pace achievements for Klarberg include serving as one of The School of Business’s’ “Lecturer in Residence,” delivering a commencement speech for 2015 graduates and receiving an honorary doctorate from the university.
Outside of Pace, Klarberg remains active in several endeavors, including the National Meningitis Association, the USO and Homeland Security’s Federal Enforcement Foundation. For all his dedicated work with the USO, Klarberg was selected to the organization’s executive committee, which is key in bringing athletes and entertainers overseas to visit American service people.
With a goal to lift the spirits of American troops and their families, Klarberg takes great pride in bringing dynamic public figures to the USO, helping the USO reach 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries, and at hundreds of entertainment events each year. Like the ethos of the USO, Klarberg endeavors to remain involved with the USO until every troop returns home from active duty. Additionally, Klarberg takes immense pride in helping spread awareness and prevention of the dangerous disease meningitis.
