Description: Barnaby Rogerson is a leading British travel author and publisher. He has written six guidebooks, a history of North Africa, a biography of the Prophet Muhammad and an account of the early Caliphate. He has compiled various poetry anthologies - about London, the desert and a collection of English Orientalist verse, as well as a collection of contemporary travel writing. He co-runs Eland Publishing with Rose Baring. Eland specializes in keeping travel literature classice in print and has 70 titles.
