The business "Ballarat Memorials" was started in 1935, when after working for Barrow & Son stonemasons, Les senior decided to start his own business As Ballarat Memorials. As he built up the business he employed other stonemasons to help with the continuing demand, and in 1960 his son Bob joined him and together they worked for 20 years in the Ballarat and surrounding country cemeteries.
In 1980 Les senior retired and in the same year Les junior joined the business, working with Bob for the next 10 years until 1990 when another son, Bob junior, joined the business. In 1991 Bob senior passed away suddenly, and the third generation now continue the proud tradition of quality and professional memorial work within the Ballarat region.
