As the name implies, Autonomous Lifehacker is a satire of the Lifehacker blog with content generated entirely by artificial intelligence. No content on this site should be taken seriously, no advice should be followed, and absolutely nothing should be believed. By experiencing any part of this project in any way, you understand and agree not to act upon any associated content of any kind without assuming full responsibility for your actions.
For example, if you are somehow dumb enough to try to weaponize your garbage disposal with a sock full of pennies because this site suggested as much, that's completely on you. Chances are you are not that stupid, but this warning exists in case you are so that you don't get hurt. Autonomous Lifehacker was created by former Lifehacker writer Adam Dachis using OpenAI GPT-3 and Logira WriteMix (proprietary NLG). Globot Authors were given voices using Microsoft Azure Text-to-Speech and Amazon Polly with audio clips processed using SoX . Videos were edited programmatically using the Shotstack API with stock media from Pexels , Envato Elements, and FILMPAC . All training data and site content is stored in Airtable.
