Autism is a neurological and developmental disability that is diagnosed during the first two or three years of life. There are three domains where Autism presents itself: lack of (or limited) verbal and communication skills; lack of (or limited) social and play skills; and excessive stereotypic or repetitive behaviors. Autism is a spectrum disorder, and no two kids with Autism will act or behave the same.
