With a growing population of around 15,000, Ashby de la Zouch is an attractive and historic market town right in the centre of the National Forest and sitting on the boarders of Leicestershire and Derbyshire.  It has a bustling high street that consists of predominantly independent shops, cafes and businesses. It provides a vibrant night out for residents and visitors, offering a wide choice of restaurants and pubs.

The Town Council is an elected local authority consisting of 17 Town Councillors, including a Town Mayor, holding office until May 2023.  There are six wards in Ashby de la Zouch – Money Hill, Holywell, Castle, Ivanhoe, Willesley and Blackfordby.  The Town Council’s vision is to create a town that meets the needs of local people whilst making the most of its special qualities to attract visitors and shoppers from further afield.
