Ascend Events is a small, grass roots race organiser. We're delighted that we've achieved our aim of sharing our passion for endurance events, the great outdoors and the Lake District with others. We are proud that our events consistently enable participants to do more than they had before.
We've been organising our great value, fun and friendly events for a few years now, and it's gone far faster than we can run! Our original challenges now sell out, and our newer events are gaining in popularity so we might extend our calendar further.
We took some popular long distance walking routes that had fallen in to disuse and relaunched them. They're tough. They're challenging. They're technical. We don't mark the routes (much) so map reading and navigational skills are required. But self-sufficiency just adds to the sense of achievement when you finish.
