In 2012, New Hampshire Humanities entrusted the talented playwright Genevieve Aichele with a profound mission—to bring the real-life stories of refugees and immigrants in New Hampshire to life on the stage. The result was "Dreaming Again," a powerful play inspired by oral interviews with over 40 individuals who embarked on transformative journeys to resettle in the Granite State.
"Dreaming Again" made its mark through performances by the New Hampshire Theatre Project (NHTP) across New Hampshire, captivating primarily adult audiences. The production boasts a multicultural cast of five actors and three musicians, all of whom skillfully embody multiple roles. The play comes alive with music that resonates from diverse cultures and traditions, beautifully arranged by Agnes Charlesworth.
