Description: ArtsEd Washington has been advocating for equity in arts education throughout Washington's K-12 schools since 1983. As a grassroots organization, ArtsED Washington welcomes community participation in a variety of ways. The three most common forms of engagement are as project-based volunteers, Community Ambassadors, and Board Members.
SB-5878 requires that all Washington students, regardless of their family's socioeconomic status or the affluence of their community, receive visual and performing arts education as part of their core subjects. There is a very large gap between policy and practice in our state. That’s why we are here to ensure 5878 is resourced in every school!
