Aransas Pass Progress Aransas Pass Mayor Ram Gomez announced a fundraising campaign Friday, April 28 to help the VFW Post purchase a replacement computer, install new doors to the entrances in the front and back of the building, add an alarm system monitored 24/7, place video surveillance cameras throughout, and repair a leaking roof – all to the tune of $10,000. Citizens of Aransas Pass and tourists alike may soon be able to enjoy a boardwalk around and out into the wetlands around the Aransas Pass Aquatic Center (pictured) if the city determines the project is feasible with the given landscape.
