Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Anna Maria Island was established in 1952 & held its meetings at the Anna Maria Elementary School until 1964. At that time, the Manatee County Commission asked the Club to manage the Pavilion at the Manatee County Public Beach, which it did for the next 20 years.
