Alternatives for Children follows The Creative Curriculum. This curriculum allows our teachers and therapists to utilize best practices as well as developmentally appropriate practices for each child. Taking her cue from the Lady Gaga hit, Born This Way , Music Therapist Lee Morris instilled in her students a valuable life lesson; I’m beautiful in my way , and I was born this way! For their end of the year song, all the children, those with disabilities and their typically developing peers, sang Born This Way , with adapted lyrics, and used American Sign Language to make this song their own.
