Al-Muhassin Mosque is located within the Minor Land of Fadak. It is the first and currently only fully functioning Shia Muslim Mosque in all of Europe.
The Mosque is named after the martyr, Al-Muhassin ibn Ali (peace be upon Them both), the unborn son of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon Her) - both of whom were killed by Omar ibn Al-Khattab (whom Allah has deprived His mercy from) after the Event of the Door, again very soon after the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him and His Pure Household).
In accordance to the Sunna (tradition) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him and His Pure Household), the Mosque is outdoors, and prayers are performed, congregationally, beneath the sky. We have been informed, through our narrations, that this is how the mosque of the Holy Prophet originally was, and prayers performed in this way are most rewarded.
