Hailed for her “scintillating” coloratura tone and “bubbly, effervescent” personality, Alexandra Gilliam is making a splash on the Philadelphia music scene. Upcoming performance engagements include a solo recital in January 2023, along with the roles of Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with The Savoy Company (May 2023) and YumYum in The Mikado with Bucks County Gilbert & Sullivan Society (June 2023).
Gilliam’s recent engagements include performances as soprano soloist in Bach’s BWV 52: Falsche Welt, dir trau ich nicht with the Philadelphia Orchestra Society (November 2022) and role debuts as Lehár’s eponymous Merry Widow (June 2022) and Gilda in Rigoletto (October 2021).
A co-managing diva of the Philadelphia chapter of Opera On Tap, Gilliam is a passionate leader in the nonprofit arts space and dedicates her time outside of performance to web design, videography, film editing, graphic design, technology coordination, concert production, and social media.
