the strengh of architecture lays in its capacity to trigger social process through buildings.
the job as an architect is becoming more and more complex. through new technologies, guidelines and opportunities of construction, the architectual profession is getting divided in various areas of expertise. these different areas showcase themselves as independent professions, which leaves the architect himself, usually known as the universal machine, pushed back to the role as a decorative technician. the field of architecture has to get back in its main role.
buildings do not merely provide physical shelter and protection; they are also a mental mediation between the world and our consciouness .
