AGReMA is an evidence- and consensus-based guideline that provides recommendations for reporting primary and secondary mediation analyses of randomised trials and observational studies. It is designed to assist authors, peer-reviewers and journal editors to ensure accurate, consistent and transparent reporting of studies that use mediation analyses.

The AGReMA initiative followed the  EQUATOR (Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research)  network methodological framework, including a consensus meeting with methodologists, statisticians, clinical trialists, epidemiologists, psychologists, clinical researchers, clinicians, implementation scientists, evidence synthesis experts, representatives of the EQUATOR network, and journal editors.
