The African Economic History Network (AEHN) is an initiative intended to foster communication, collaboration and research as well as teaching amongst scholars studying the long-term development of sub-Saharan Africa, from the pre-colonial era to the present-day. The AEHN holds an annual conference, publishes a working papers series in African Economic History and an open-source textbook The History of African Development , as well as a blog and a newsletter.
