The Work Health and Safety Amendment (Managing Psychosocial Risk and Other Measures) Regulations 2022 commenced on 4 January 2023 making 1 April 2023 the commencement date for the Commonwealth WHS Regulations to require a PCBU to manage psychosocial risks.
In December, Safe Work Australia published the Comparative performance monitoring report 24th edition , which provides the latest trend analyses on WHS and workers’ compensation schemes operating in Australia and New Zealand. Among other insights, there was a 37% increase in reactive regulatory visits to Australian Government workplaces.
