I’ve been obsessed with wearing overalls since I started art classes back in high school so when they popped back up on the fashion scene recently, I had to give them another shot. I picked up a pair this summer while weekending with my then-boyfriend in Santa Barbara upon his insistence. “Do you really like these?” I asked.
Want to know the go-to uniform of the city of San Francisco? Puffer jackets and hipster glasses. I’ve owned my fair share of puffer jackets and they have frequently the hiking trails of the Marin Headlands and the slopes of Tahoe. They don’t get a ton of action, however, in my every day life. Until now that is. I finally found a puffer that speaks to me.
My new life as a working mom means that there has been a major shift in my daily style. The biggest change? I’ve swapped practicality for the perfectly styled look each day. For example, on rainy days I actually wear rainboots now. Hats are the perfect solution for second (or sometimes third) day hair and a closet full of neutrals means that everything I throw on somehow matches.
