The 500 Festival Foundation is a fully charitable 501(c)3 organization dedicated to inspiring people to support the 500 Festival’s mission to produce life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500 and positively impact the community.
The Foundation’s impact is felt across the state of Indiana through its investment in the 500 Festival’s free education, health, and leadership development programs and initiatives, impacting the lives of 100,000 Indiana youth and families each year.
Whether it’s teaching Indiana 4th-graders history, engineering, and racing by sharing Indiana’s greatest sports legacy – the Indianapolis 500, or college scholarships for Indiana’s brightest college women in the Princess Program, or a free program designed to combat childhood obesity and teach kids the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle – support of the Foundation helps enhance the lives of Indiana’s youth and invites the participation of all Hoosiers in the Month of May.
