Our dude ranch guests say we have something beautifully unique here and this is best riding and scenery they have ever experienced. Wildlife watching and nature walks are a special attraction. This is one of the best places for wildlife viewing, and for flowers and bird watching, where 56 birds species were counted. Our riders meet up with our non-rider nature lovers for lunch out in the forest or back at the ranch house. Grandma and grandpa may choose to come out with the lunch wagon to see what we are doing with the cattle.
As for day trips off the dude ranch, there is the Overland Trail and Cavalry Fort Laramie and old stagecoach stations to visit. We are right in the middle of a historical west and in close proximity to noted dinosaur remains and geological sites. Many books have been written about the Native American and Cowboy history.
