Richard Zampella is a documentary filmmaker that produced the film, Cooper and Hemingway: The True Gen which was chosen by the New York Times as a Critics' Pic. He is currently working on a documentary about the writer Elmore Leonard. Zampella is the current Owner and Operator of Idylease. His ice cream shop was recently voted as the Best Ice Cream Shop on Long Island for 2017 and 2018. In 2018, he opened The Food Mill Market in Point Lookout, NY.
