My boss made a request. He asked if there was a way for him to copy\sync an email folder in his Outlook desktop app to a SharePoint Online site.  Of course he needed this solution quickly.  I said there are some ways to accomplish this, but since you need it quickly, then an out-of-box solution would be the best.  I told him I would look at the SharePoint Online site and get back to him.

We still have a lot of classic SharePoint Online (SPO) sites and a much smaller number of Modern SharePoint Online Team sites.  When I looked at the SPO site (I’ll refer to the site as Site 1) my boss wanted to copy\sync emails to, it was a classic SPO site.  This meant it isn’t using an Office 365 group, so using a Site Mailbox was out of the question.

I could create a Microsoft Flow, but given I needed something quick, I thought I would do a Google search and see what others where doing.  I found some where using SharePoint Discussions List.  So, I thought I would see about setting it up and testing it.  Turns out, it was pretty easy to setup and use.
