Winfield, Kansas was founded in 1870. It was named for Rev. Winfield Scott , who promised to build the town a church in exchange for the naming rights to the town. In November 1870, after that very sermon, First Baptist Church was founded. We have a rich heritage and history and would love to share in worship and ministry with you.
