I focus on market structures, pricing strategies and switching costs in network industries. I am researching on renewable energy, green hydrogen, electricity retail markets, and critical minerals for the energy transitions.
Currently, I work as a Fellow for the Center of Energy Studies at the Baker Institute for Public Policy and as a lecturer for the Master in Energy Economics Program of the Department of Economics and for the Online Master of Data Science program of the Department of Computer Science at Rice University . Previously I worked as a faculty (tenure-track) professor and former Director of the Undergraduate Program (Lima Campus) at the Universidad de Piura (UDEP) in Peru, where I am also a member of Lima School of
I have worked as a consultant for the Markets and Competition Global team of the World Bank Group. Previously, I worked in the Department of Economic Studies of the National Institute for Competition Defense and Intellectual Property Protection ( Instituto Nacional de Defensa de la Competencia y Protection de la Propiedad Intelectual - INDECOPI) and as an Economics Adviser of the Secretariat of Communications of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Perú .
