Our second day in Rome was bound to be better than the first. After visiting the Vatican on our first day, we knew that we would again face large crowds and need patience for our day visiting the ancient ruins. We had a very structured morning for Day 2, but the afternoon was more flexible and gave us an opportunity to wander the city.
