Hello! I’m a local reporter at the San Francisco Examiner covering public health and city government in San Francisco. My reporting has earned several state and national awards and has influenced changes in local and state policy and funding.
Previously, I covered statewide education as a reporter at EdSource , and before that, I worked as an assistant editor at EdSurge where I wrote and edited daily news stories, produced a weekly podcast, and edited a digital newsletter. My stories have appeared in PBS Newshour , Slate , the East Bay Express , San Francisco magazine and newspapers throughout California.
I grew up in Los Angeles before moving to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley, where I graduated in 2016 with degrees in Geography and Conservation & Resource Studies. I now live in San Francisco.
