Ongoing construction of its system electrification project forces Caltrain to run buses instead of trains between Millbrae and San Francisco 4th/King stations in both directions this weekend. Read more information on the shuttle bus service between these Caltrain stations this weekend.
Caltrain advises passengers who ride to, from, or between these stations to allow an additional 45 minutes’ travel time. This is because the shuttle buses must navigate traffic on El Camino Real, local streets, and Highway 101 to access bus stops at all closed stations. At the closed Caltrain stations, look for ambassadors in yellow vests and A-pillar signs to guide you from the Caltrain platform to the shuttle bus stops.
Two bus and rail alternatives between Millbrae and San Francisco 4th/King stations are available. BART from Millbrae-San Francisco is one alternative. Another alternative: SamTrans’ ECR bus line along El Camino Real from Millbrae-Daly City. At Daly City, connect to BART or ride San Francisco MUNI buses to reach more of San Francisco.
