We have an alarming increase in overdose deaths in Jackson County. Many of these people would not have died if friends or family knew how to give naloxone. Are you close to someone using drugs, including prescription pain medications? If so, you can save their life if you have naloxone and know how to use it. You can get naloxone three ways:
Opioids are powerful pain medications. Common opioids are Oxycontin, Vicodin, and Percocet. Heroin is also an opioid drug. Opioid pain pills can cause problems when used for chronic pain. They can lead to physical dependence, addiction, and death from overdose.
