A few years ago, I attempted to create my online biography, telling the story of my life. My siblings were quick to push back on the project. They felt it put our family in a bad light and had concerns as to how their children, grandchildren and future generations would judge our family. At the time I also self-identified as a transgender woman. I also received pushback from the transgender community who took exception to accounts of my childhood where I spoke of choices I had made. Over the last five years, a lot has changed in my life. Most importantly, for the purposes of this blog, I no longer self identify as a transgender woman. I am a sissy. While I did hold resentments for being told I was not a transgender woman when in my heart I knew myself to be, I was wrong. My life choices are not -- nor never have been -- the life choices of a transgender woman. They are the life choices of a sissy.
I have decided to return to the project I abandoned five years ago. This time I will not be sharing the story with my family. I will allow them to continue to believe that I am a transgender woman. After all, the specifics of my gender identity and sexual preferences are personal to me. However to protect my family and my privacy, I will change the names of my siblings as well as my parents.
