Welcome to Solid Ground! We are a small-scale diversified, sustainable farm and community education center in Appalachian Ohio. The farm is home to Rising Appalachia's youth outdoor adventure and exploration programs and to the progressive, place-based elementary education program, Solid Ground School. We serve as a land lab for Hocking College's School of Natural Resources and offer sustainable education tours and workshops by appointment, community farm-to-table events, youth birthday parties, and more.
Big Things are Growing on Solid Ground! We are excited to announce that we have broken ground on our new community education center and are actively expanding our facilities to meet our and the growing needs of our partnering youth education providers. The new facility will allow us to offer regular community classes, farm-to-table meals, sustainable education workshops and trainings, and seasonal weekend retreats.
