Description: Singing Helps is a database to help music therapists and volunteers in refugee aid to integrate songs from the refugees’ home countries into their work. BE A PART OF USAs a user of this initiative, you will get access to the songs of the countries, which are prepared in such a way that you can learn them and use them in therapeutic treatments or in your voluntary help and care for these people.
War refugees and internally displaced persons are confronted worldwide with unimaginable acts of violence, events, experiences and the resulting traumas. The Singing Helps project is based on a collaboration between the Initiator AktiVokal e.V., the World Federation of Music Therapy (WFMT), the International Choral Conductors Federation (ICCF) and the International Kodaly Society (IKS) with the aim of supporting all those affected by using music therapy as a healing catalyst and networking element to promot

Singing Helps is a database to help music therapists and volunteers in refugee aid to integrate songs from the refugees’ home countries into their work. The database is constantly being expanded and edited. Since it is maintained by volunteers, we ask for your understanding if there are still some gaps. We are working on closing them and would be pleased if you would help us.
