I’m an Assistant Professor at Concordia University, where I hold a joint position in First Peoples Studies ( School of Community & Public Affairs ) and Linguistics ( Department of Classics, Modern Languages, and Linguistics ). I recently received my PhD in Linguistics from the University of Maryland, College Park. My dissertation, “Phasehood and Phi-Intervention”, was advised by Maria Polinsky and Omer Preminger and is available here .

Before coming to UMD, I received an MA in Linguistics through the Individualized (INDI) program  at Concordia University , where I also received a BA Honours in the Linguistics program . Under the supervision of Alan Bale , Dana Isac , and Charles Reiss , I investigated the Nishnaabemwin (Algonquian) direct/inverse system and non-surfacing segments in underlying phonological representations.
