Sarah Heinz Advanced Robotics Program
SHARP is a robotics program for 1st – 12th graders, located at Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, which participates in the FIRST and VEX Robotics Competitions . Our student-driven teams have long histories of success, both at competitions and in our communities. We value hard work, leadership, and creativity, putting the growth of our members before all else. We also seek to interest more students in robotics and STEAM careers through outreach programs across Pittsburgh.
Each year, our team competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), where we have just 6 weeks to prototype, design, build, and program a robot. Each January, a new challenge is released where the main goal for teams is to score the most possible amount of points.
