Providence Living is building Vancouver Island's first-ever publicly-funded long-term care home based on the concepts of a “dementia village" in Comox, BC, in partnership with Island Health and the Ministry of Health.
The new care home will consist of 156 beds and will provide amenities for residents and the community that include community gardens, child daycare, Island Health-funded adult day programs, a community space, art studio, bistro, and chapel.
