I research and teach about the intersection between history and education. I specialized in the way political, ideological, and cultural vectors shape history education in Israel and internationally. In particular, I am interested in the concept of Historical Consciousness; that is, how the understanding of the past constructs the present interpretation, and shapes expectations for the future.
