We’ve built Ice Breaker & Jenny Skylark , two five person rowing skiffs, for everyone in Portobello to row for fun, exercise & racing. The boats are St Ayles Skiffs, designed by internationally renowned small boat designer Iain Oughtred for the Scottish Coastal Rowing Projec t .
We row for exercise, for sociability and then joy of being on the water. For many of us the fun of competition is also important, racing against similar clubs around Scotland end elsewhere – all competing in similar St Ayles skiffs. Like everyone we like to win, but if we don’t we still get a buzz. The regatta season runs from May to September.
