Rocky Wood passed away from ALS on December 1, 2014, but his legacy as an author, a Stephen King expert, and a two-term President of the Horror Writers Association (HWA) lives on! In his honor, the HWA established the Rocky Wood Memorial Nonfiction Scholarship Fund .
